Terms of Service
This is a translation of the original Simplified Chinese version. If the versions differ, the Simplified Chinese version prevails.
Welcome to Nuo (lobster-space.com, “Nuo,” “we,” or “us”). This agreement is between you and the operator of Nuo and governs your use of Nuo. Nuo is run by an individual developer. Please read it carefully, especially the terms in bold. By signing up for, signing in to, or using Nuo, you confirm that you have read and agree to this agreement and the Privacy Policy.
1. The service
Nuo gives each user an AI agent and a cloud computer of your own. You can have Nuo read files, write and run programs, look things up online, create documents / spreadsheets / presentations / web pages, and share the results. Once you install the desktop client Nuo Desktop, Nuo can also operate your own computer within the scope you authorize. The features actually offered on the website are what apply, and we may change, add, or retire some features.
2. Your account
- You sign up by verifying a phone number or email address. A phone number or email address that hasn't been registered gets a new account automatically once verified. Email sign-up is available only for specified email providers and university email addresses, as shown on the sign-up page.
- Please provide a real phone number or email address that belongs to you, and keep your account, password, and verification codes safe. Anything done through your account is treated as done by you. If you find that your account has been used without your permission, change your password as soon as possible and contact us.
- Your account is for your own use only. You may not lend, transfer, or sell it.
- You can add or change your phone number and email address, and set or change your password, in Nuo under Settings → Account.
3. Fees
- Nuo charges by usage: compute for your cloud computer is billed by the time it’s running, disk is billed by capacity and number of days, and models provided by the platform are charged by actual usage. The prices described on the website and shown in Settings are what apply.
- You can also connect your own model subscription or API key. In that case, the provider charges you for those model costs, and Nuo doesn’t charge a separate model fee.
- While your balance is ¥1 or less (exactly ¥1 counts too), your account is a free user: no compute or disk fees are charged, you get a certain amount of free model credit, running time and voice time each day, and some features and sizes are limited, as described in the Help Center and in Settings. After you top up (¥10 minimum each time), your account becomes a paid account again automatically.
- If a free user doesn’t use Nuo for 7 days in a row, the disk is moved to cold storage (no files are lost; the next start takes a little longer); if it isn’t used for 30 days in a row, the account’s Nuo and its files are deleted and can’t be recovered, and any amount owed at that point will be written off and not collected. We’ll notify you in the app 3 days before the deletion, and also by email if you’ve linked one. Please download backups of important files in time.
- While an account is suspended by the platform, no fees are charged and it won’t be deleted for inactivity. If an account is suspended for violating the usage rules, we may delete the data on that account’s cloud computer.
- Balance you top up can only be used within Nuo and can’t be withdrawn or transferred. If you’d like a refund of unused balance, contact us and we’ll work it out with you.
4. Usage rules
When using Nuo, you must comply with the laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) and the laws of the place where you are. You may not use Nuo to create, copy, publish, or spread the following content, or to engage in the following conduct:

- content that promotes terrorism or extremism, or incites ethnic hatred or ethnic discrimination;
- obscene, pornographic, gambling-related, violent, murderous, or terrifying content, or content that incites crime;
- spreading rumors or false information that disrupts economic or social order;
- insulting or defaming others, or infringing on others’ reputation, privacy, likeness, intellectual property, or other lawful rights and interests;
- obtaining or selling other people’s personal information without authorization;
- creating or spreading computer viruses or malware, attacking or breaking into other people’s networks or systems, sending spam, or committing online fraud or phishing;

- attempting to bypass Nuo’s billing, limits, or security measures, or interfering with Nuo’s normal operation;
- anything else that violates laws and regulations, public order and good morals, or the lawful rights and interests of others.
Third-party models you use (such as Claude) have their own usage policies, which you also need to follow. If you violate the rules above, we may delete the content involved, restrict features, or suspend or terminate your account. You are responsible for any losses caused. Where a violation may involve a crime, we will cooperate with the relevant authorities as required by law.
5. AI-generated content
- Nuo’s replies and the content it generates are produced automatically by AI. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date, and they don’t represent our views. For important decisions involving medical, legal, financial, investment, or similar matters, verify the information yourself or consult a professional.
- Nuo runs programs and modifies files according to your instructions. Before you authorize Nuo Desktop to operate your computer, confirm the scope of the authorization and back up important files in advance. Every action Nuo takes is logged, and you can pause or remove the authorization at any time.
- When you publish AI-generated content, you should label it as required by applicable regulations, and you are responsible for what you publish.
6. Your content
- The content you upload, your chats with Nuo, and the files Nuo generates for you belong to you (or to the original rights holders) as provided by law. You must make sure that the content you upload and share comes from lawful sources and doesn’t infringe on the rights of others.
- To provide the service, you authorize us to store, process, and transmit this content, including passing it to the model providers you choose for processing. We won’t use your content to train models or for any purpose other than providing the service.
- Anyone who has a share link can view the content you make public with it, so share carefully. When we receive a report, we may take down shares that break the rules.
7. Changes to, interruption of, and termination of the service
- We do our best to keep the service stable, but it may be interrupted by maintenance and upgrades, third-party service failures, network problems, or force majeure. We’ll try to give advance notice of planned maintenance.
- We may change the service and its prices, and we’ll announce changes on the website before they take effect.
- You can stop using Nuo and request to delete your account at any time. If we decide to stop operating Nuo, we’ll give at least 30 days’ notice and leave you time to download your data. Any remaining balance will be refunded based on the actual circumstances.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses caused by inaccurate AI-generated content, third-party service failures, your own actions or authorizations, force majeure, or similar causes. Our total liability to you is limited to the fees you actually paid to Nuo in the 3 months before the loss occurred, except as otherwise provided by law.
9. Changes to this agreement
We may change this agreement and will show the update date at the top of the page. We’ll let you know about important changes on the website or in a notification. If you keep using Nuo after a change, you agree to the updated agreement. If you don’t agree, please stop using Nuo.
10. Governing law and dispute resolution
This agreement is governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China (excluding the laws of Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan). If a dispute arises, both parties will first try to resolve it through friendly negotiation. If that fails, either party may file a lawsuit with the people’s court that has jurisdiction where the defendant is domiciled.
11. Contact us
If you have any questions, complaints, or suggestions about this agreement, contact us through Feedback in Nuo under Settings → More, or through “Feedback” in the website footer.
12. Website hosting terms
This section applies when you use Nuo’s “Website” feature to host a website on a subdomain of xiaonuosites.com (the “website service”). Anything this section doesn’t cover is governed by the rest of this agreement and the Privacy Policy; where they differ, this section prevails for website hosting.By using the website service (including by having Nuo create a site for you and clicking to confirm it), you confirm that you have read and agree to this section.Please pay special attention to the parts in bold.
12.1 The service
- The website service lets you run a website on servers we provide: you choose a size and a disk, upload code, run a setup script, and submit the site for review; once it passes review, it is publicly available at “name.xiaonuosites.com”.
- Websites run on servers separate from your cloud computer, located outside mainland China. Custom domains aren’t supported yet, no database server is provided, and system software can’t be installed.
- Free users (balance of ¥1 or less) can’t create, upgrade or deploy websites, or submit them for review.
12.2 You are responsible for your website
- You are the site owner and are responsible for everything on and done by your website, including content you upload, content Nuo or another AI generates and deploys for you, content visitors submit, content the site fetches from elsewhere, and every request the site makes while running.
- Actions Nuo takes for you are treated as your own once you click to confirm them.Please check code Nuo deploys before submitting it for review. AI-generated content may be inaccurate or may infringe others’ rights; it is up to you to vet it before it goes public, and to label it as required by law.
- If your website collects visitors’ personal information, you are the handler of that information: you must tell visitors what you collect and why, obtain any necessary consent, keep the information safe, and handle visitors’ requests to access or delete it. Your website must include a way to contact you.
- You warrant that you have the legal right to the content you upload and that it doesn’t infringe anyone’s copyright, trademark, likeness, privacy or other rights.
- You bear any complaints, claims, penalties and losses arising from your website, and you must compensate us for any loss it causes us.
12.3 Prohibited content and conduct
In addition to everything listed in Section 4, websites must not contain or be used for:
- phishing or impersonation: pages imitating banks, payment services, governments, schools, social platforms, email providers or other organizations, or tricking people into giving up accounts, passwords, verification codes or bank card details;
- fraud: fake investments, fake shops, fake prizes, fake order schemes, pyramid schemes, or fake customer service;
- spreading malware such as viruses, trojans, ransomware, mining scripts or account-stealing tools, or serving as a download point or control server for such programs;
- displaying, selling or driving traffic to pornography, gambling, drugs, firearms or other prohibited goods;
- copyright-infringing content, such as downloads or streams of pirated films, music, books or software;
- unlawfully obtaining or exposing other people’s information, including doxxing, leaking private information, posting personal photos without consent, or selling personal information;
- harassing, threatening, defaming or spreading hatred against particular people or groups;
- any content that harms minors;
- proxies, VPNs, services for circumventing network restrictions, anonymous relays, or other services that hide where traffic comes from;
- sending bulk spam email or text messages (port 25 is blocked for websites);
- scanning, attacking, brute-forcing or crawling others’ websites and services at scale;
- crypto mining, or computation unrelated to the site’s purpose that keeps resources maxed out for long periods;
- trying to break isolation, access other websites or the platform’s internal systems, or get around billing, traffic limits or review;
- registering subdomains that impersonate others, or transferring or selling subdomains to others;
- reselling the website service to others, directly or indirectly;
- any other content or conduct that violates laws and regulations, public order and morals, or the lawful rights and interests of others.
We decide, based on what we see, whether this section has been violated.
12.4 Review
- A website must pass review before it first goes public. Until then, its public address only shows a placeholder page, and you can view the site through a preview link. Anyone with the preview link can open it, so don’t share it publicly.
- We don’t commit to any review time.A site may be rejected in review; we’ll give the reason, and you can resubmit after making changes.
- In review we look at the preview, the owner’s account, the purpose you wrote, the domain, the setup scripts (setup.sh, start.sh), the file list and recent logs.
- After a site passes review you can keep changing it; changes aren’t reviewed one by one, but we flag them and check them again.If you change the subdomain or the site is reported, it is taken offline and must be reviewed again.
- Passing review doesn’t mean we endorse the site’s content or that the site is lawful, and it doesn’t relieve you of your responsibilities under 12.2.
12.5 Reports, takedowns and appeals
- Anyone can report a website: the report page is xiaonuosites.com/report, and the email address is abuse@xiaonuosites.com.
- If we believe a website may violate this section or the law, if we receive a demand from an infrastructure provider or the authorities, or if a website endangers the stability of the service or the safety of others, we may take it offline immediately without prior notice, and restrict other features of the account where necessary. Once a site is taken down, its public address shows “This site has been taken down”, and we’ll notify you.
- After you’re notified, you can appeal, explaining the situation and what you’ve fixed. If the appeal succeeds, the site goes back into review.
- Size and disk keep being charged while a site is taken down.For confirmed serious violations (such as phishing, fraud or malware), we may delete the site and its data, end your use of the website service, keep records as required by law, and cooperate with the authorities.
12.6 Handling abuse
- To prevent abuse, we may limit each website’s CPU, memory, connections and traffic, and monitor for sustained full load and unusual incoming or outgoing traffic.
- If we find mining, attacks, spam or other abuse, we may immediately throttle, stop or take down the site, and handle it under 12.5.
- Traffic caused by attacks on your website is charged like any other traffic.You can set a monthly traffic cap; when it’s reached, the site pauses and you’re notified.
12.7 Fees
- Prices are as shown on the Website page, in the help center and in confirmation dialogs. Size and disk are charged by the hour; traffic is settled hourly by the actual bytes in and out, counting both visitors to the site and the site’s own requests to the outside.
- When you create a site, the first month of size and disk is prepaid from your balance in one go; you can’t create a site without enough balance. During the prepaid period these two aren’t charged by the hour; traffic is charged separately.Upgrading the size or disk charges the difference for the rest of the prepaid period; disks can only grow, never shrink.
- If a website is rejected the first time it is submitted for review, the prepaid first month (including any upgrade differences paid during the prepaid period) is refunded to your balance in full, once per website; after the refund, size and disk are charged by the hour.
- Apart from the case above, fees paid are not refunded, including when a site is taken down, rejected again later, or deleted by you; traffic charges already incurred aren’t refunded either.
- We may change prices and will announce changes on the website beforehand; new prices apply from the next billing period.
12.8 Unpaid balance and deletion
- When your balance runs out (¥0 or less), your websites stop automatically; size, disk and other charges keep accruing by the hour, and your balance can go negative.A negative balance is offset by your next top-ups.
- We’ll remind you on the day a site stops, on day 3 and on day 6. If your balance goes back above 0 during this time, the site automatically returns to its previous state.
- If a site has been stopped for 7 days and still hasn’t recovered, the site and its disk are permanently deleted and can’t be recovered, and the debt remains.
- When you delete a site yourself, the site and its disk are likewise permanently deleted right away and can’t be recovered.
12.9 Data
- The website service doesn’t include backups.Disk failures, mistakes, deletion, an unpaid balance running out its time, or moving to another machine can all cause data loss, so keep your own copies of important data. We aren’t liable for loss of website data, except as otherwise required by law.
- Each deployment replaces the code with the new version; only files under /site/data are kept.
- To run the service, bill, review, handle reports and meet legal obligations, we may access a website’s code, data, logs and runtime metrics, including access logs kept by the servers. We don’t view or use this content for anything else.
- Website data is stored on servers outside mainland China. If your website handles data whose transfer abroad is restricted by law, you are responsible for meeting those requirements.
12.10 Service level
- The website service is provided as is, and we don’t guarantee any level of availability. Maintenance, migrations, hardware failures and infrastructure provider problems may all interrupt a website, and interruptions don’t entitle you to compensation.
- We don’t guarantee the speed or reachability of websites from mainland China, and a site may be unreachable in some regions for network reasons.
- xiaonuosites.com is our domain and subdomains are assigned by us; using one doesn’t give you any rights to it. Browsers or security software may block a site’s address for security reasons, and we can’t guarantee that such a block can be lifted.
12.11 Changes to and termination of the website service
- We may change or discontinue the website service. For a planned discontinuation we’ll give at least 30 days’ notice, leaving you time to export your data.
- Delete your websites before closing your account. When an account is suspended or closed, its websites stop as well, and the related data is handled under 12.8 and 12.9.
